Information: | Official aire has 4 bays with full service, but only allowed to park up to 2 hours. But parking available, although not officially signed alongside river on grass bank and next to boat service points & moorings. Map available in tourist office (through the arch on opposite side of river) shows MH parking here. We arrived & a guy was just leaving having spent the night there; had a pleasant stay, joined by 1 other van who saw us from the other side of the river & found us! Parking is opposite the main Hennessy offices & vistor centre; they have boats crossing the river all day to the storage & other facilities on the side of the aire.
Attractions Nearby: | cognac distilleries - Hennesy is right next door! Town walks across river. Watch the boats go by.

Stayed here for 2 nights. There were 3 official parking spaces for the aire but the tourist office told us that we could park/stay in the car park adjacent to the aire, for free. There were about 5 vans all together in the car park who stayed, plus the 3 in the official spaces. This aire is very close to the town and as said before, there is a lovely boulangerie around the corner, and, the morning we were there, there was a small market in the square around the corner. We did a tour of the Martell Cognac House and I can thoroughly recommend it. 7.50 euros each for an hours tour in english, with a cognac tasting at the end. Also very reasonable prices for glasses and brandies. We booked it through the tourist office. |

The aire is tucked away down a side street, There has been a small adjustment to the layout, the 4 parking slots are now allocated to the service area. There are another 4 spaces for aprking adjacent. There is a patisserie / launderette and a few other shops around the corner. A short walk over the bridge takes you to the Hennessy headquaters where you may undertake a tour. Slightly further and you are in town. Boat trips along the river depart from alongsdie the Hennesy building. *Admin note*: GPS is now correct |

We also had a nights stop over here. Right next door they had a man made plage which was surrounded by local craft huts with a small bar. Hidden amongst the beach hut wall mural were showers and toilets with wash basin and plenty of hot water, all free. |
