We were there for a Tue-Fri midweek stay, and found the site to be very pleasant - the toilet, shower and laundry facilities are excellent and our hardstanding pitch was very big and almost level. We paid 80 for a 4 nights stay for 2 people including electricity.

The site shop seemed relatively well stocked and it's only 10 minutes walk to the village, which was delightful but absolutely packed with parked cars. Their 3 pubs all sold good ale and food and the village shop was well stocked and reasonably priced.

The only downside was that the site is infested with rabbits, which were a constant distraction and frustration for our dogs every morning and evening - we were encountering 15-20 rabbits in a 2-3 minute walk.

Dogs are free, which is some consolation, but I personally wouldn't have gone there had I known of their rabbit problem when I booked - it simply isn't fair to the dogs having to walk them in an area that's brimming with rabbits that they aren't allowed to chase, and it makes it not particularly pleasant walking them when they are almost constantly at the end of their leads trying to pursue rabbits - there's also nowhere to properly exercise dogs on site or within a 20 minute walk of the site.

They don't yet have anywhere to drop waste water from a motorhome, so the warden told us to drop it at the side of their driveway on the way out - that was fine for me but the walkers who then had to walk through it as it ran across the driveway seemed less enthralled!

I'd go back if I didn't have dogs, but won't take my dogs back there until I hear the rabbit problem has been resolved.

A lovely located site, quick and easy to find off the A19 in a pretty setting. Weekends as well as school holidays may be very busy. When we went it was heaving with big family groups in huge tents, packed in like sardines and noisy. Book a pitch across the bridge if you don't like to be knee deep in kids, dogs and footballs.
