Number Of Pitches:45
Information:Run by the Lethbridge family since 1962, this site is set on their historic working beef and sheep farm of 578 acres, with marvellous sea views over the Bristol Channel. Explore the network of footpaths leading from the site across the farmland out to the Tarka Trail coastal path, including short walks along the footpaths to good local pubs. Don't forget your binoculars for the birdlife (peregrines nesting), wildflowers and farm animals (lambing and calving at Eastertime) for all to enjoy, plus farm trailer rides around Damage Barton. You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches - Woolacombe's Blue Flag beach for sand and surf, Barricane for shells, Lee for rockpooling, Rockham for peace and quiet and many more little coves to seek out. Most of all simply enjoy the peace, space and magnificent views that Damage Barton offers. Note both clubs have sections here - Camping club has 2/3 of the space, Caravan Club 1/3. Members only, book directly with the site. Best value is with C&CC - especially if over 55, grass non-hook up pitches are excellent value out of main season

Very open headland site. Can be extremely windy, plenty of awnings and tents wrecked if not very secure. Shop is well stocked with daily fresh bread plus all manner of food , drink and holiday essentials.

We were there in early July 07; lovely position, helpful staff. The walk down to mortehoe is nice across country (less so on the road - narrow at times); a couple of good pubs there and super views across woollacombe bay. Be careful if you are put on a pitch at the bottom right corner - it's a long walk to the toilets! there's a nice walk across the farm down to Lee bay - a rocky cove with a few houses and a hotel with bar that does food.

Excellent site, very friendly staff.Dogs are welcome (or were last year). If you like seafood a van calls from a nearby village with fresh fish and shellfish. If you walk to the village you can order what you require and they will deliver. The prawn kebabs for a BBQ are particularly delicious.
Lots of walks and the views are spectacular.
