Attractions Nearby:This is simply a rest area located at Hoga Kustenbron (Bridge) north of Harnosand on the E4 Going North up the E4 on the Baltic coast of Sweden. Go over the bridge and turn right just at the end of the bridge. Go towards the restaurant. You may wish to use the first car park on the right (for caravans) rather than the one on the left labeled for Husbil (motorhomes). Many people do as it has a better view and they line up to overnight here. Facilities: Toilet. No chemical waste disposal but other rest areas often have them. Cafe/Restaurant with filled rolls and meals and a nice view. The MH/caravan parking has a lovely view over bridge and view of sunset. It's reasonably quiet but being a rest area on a major route people do pull in and out sometimes. The reason for inclusion is that its a convenient place to stop with toilets and a lovely view. You can also walk to Hornbrygga guest harbour by going down (repeat down!) from the caravan parking area. Go down the route by the map/sign that takes you down the big rocks (or walk out of the gate & turn left to the bottom of the big rocks). AT the bottom of the rocks go left downward on the grit road (not on the tarmac road). You go round and then back right under the bridge. Continue onward following the orange markers. You will walk for about 30 minutes on a lovely path through the trees and exit about 100 metres from the tiny guest harbour with its own toilet facility but almost no boats.

This appears to be a very popular stop over. It is basically a very large parking area on differing levels because it is situated on a hillside. Magnificent views of the bridge. Free to stop over, but as we didnt require any facilities, I cant confirm what if any facilities were there, we just over-nighted here on our way to Nordkapp. There was some noise from traffic on the bridge upon entering or leaving, I think it was some kind of cattle or drainage grid which rattled under every passing vehicle, but a small price to pay for a convenient nights stop.
