Stopped hear for night in early October - completely full by 6pm New sign says spaces for 30 MH's as you can now use the tarmac parking area at the entrance

Stayed overnight in late August, when heading south; and again three weeks later, when heading north. On the first night, we arrived at 6pm and were about the last ones to get a space - and for the next couple of hours saw many more vans unable to stop because the aire was full. On our return, in mid-September, it was less than half-full (both mid-week nights).

Attractive setting with generally good facilities, as mentioned by others. A big bonus was that we were able get a free wi-fi connection to the net from inside the van - which was one of the reasons we returned for the second overnight stop on the way home.

Weather was dry and warm on the first night, but wet on the second, which lead to slightly mucky conditions underfoot. Would certainly stop over again, because it is on a good strategic through route north/south.

Nice Aire by the canal. Water and Toilet disposal. Clean toilet adjacent to the Boules pitch Good cycling along towpath and in town. We visited on a Saturday night when the local youth were having a do in the village hall next to the Aire so was a bit noisy in the evening. They did disperse by midnight so all was well.

Stayed here in Oct 2010. Very nice and quiet Aire. There was a fishing competition in progress when we were there with line dancing in the village hall next to the Aire over the small bridge behind. This place reminded us of the Aire at Trebes (for those that can remember Trebes) - tree lined spot next to canal basin. Nice walks or cycle ride along canal towpath. When we were there there were some 25+ MH's parked up most using the side of the canal basin and car park that normally you pass to get to the actual Aire. Children's play area at the side of the Aire - very nice spot
