| Information: | A nice, quiet site on the outskirts of Zweisimmen run by a friendly family. Open all year; has approx 20 places in winter and 30 in summer. The valley is quite open and the location is sunny even in the winter. Modern, very clean sanitary facilities and has a kitchen with a microwave and oven. Free wifi across the site and a small shop in reception. Bike and sport shop on site. Like many Swiss campsites is mainly caravans there for the season. There is a price list on the website. At the eastern end of the Gstaad Mountain Rides ski area, we visited in March 2013 and used the site's free ski bus to the lift station in the town. It runs on-demand twice in the morning and afternoon. The 5-day ski pass covers the whole area including Glacier 3000. Excellent bus and train links are included in the pass. There's an Aldi within 5 mins walk and Coop and Migros supermarkets in town. Next door is Camping Fankhauser but it appears to have less space for touring vans. | |
