Information:Admin Note :- this site was visited by a MHF member in July 2010 and it looks like it is now closed down. See review below. Not the smartest campsite but you will not find another so convenient for Salzburg and so easy to find from the A1 motorway. There are buses every 15 minutes from the gates direct to the town centre and there is a big supermarket and small selection of shops a short walk away. Make sure you get the directions for these clearly from Reception as there is an easy short cut if you know where to look ( through the gasthaus car park, down the steps and round the field !) The gasthaus across the road serves meals. Plenty of shade and some hard standing. 16 amp hook ups. There is some slight noise from a railway close by but it is not obtrusive and the site is very quiet. The site is under new ownership and looks to be getting a facelift. The toilet block is clean with plentiful hot water and good showers. There are laundry facilities and a MH service point. There are 8 pre-erected tents for youth or family groups but these were unoccupied when we were there. They could stretch the sanitary facilities however. Site staff are friendly and have information about the area and sell Salzburg Cards. If you are going to be doing serious site seeing in the area these are worth considering.

We visited this site in July 2010 and it looks like it has closed down. The grass was extremely long and the facilities boarded up. Looks like the barrier has been cut open and there was a few Dutch Motorhomes (3) looked like they were wild camping. Camping Panorama is only about 500m away which is a far superior site.
