Review Rating:: | We were there last week (Feb), loads of room and parked on the front facing bit. We arived at about 11.30am.Facilities worked fine with a jeton and room to take the dog for a walk, especially at low tide. Sat outside bar in town for a beer, and stared at the boats in the harbour, a recommended aire by us! |
Review Rating:: | Was going to spend a night here last week but it was very wet and windy, enough to rock the camper side to side, so we chickened out. Will be back for a visit in finer weather as it is as lovely as everyone has said. Even after reading about it being cosy we were surprised at the size of the 'pitch' - difficult to get it in between the lines!! |
Review Rating:: | What a gem. End of November, so only three of us there and no charge for parking or overnighting. We used the front section, which had the best views, but it was very windy and we may have been better off in the rear section.
We had tried the Municipal, but they wouldn't take motorhomes due to soft ground. So we found the aire - and glad we did. |
Review Rating:: | Stayed hear for 1 night in August and it was as lovely as I remember it. The price has increased. Its now 4E per night plus 20cents per person. Also get there early as it fills up very quickly. The limit on how many nights you can stay is a strange one, we met an German family who go there every year for 5 weeks. The lady comes round to collect the money every night. I guess you can stay as long as you want. |
Review Rating:: | Can echo all the other reviews. A beautiful place. Got there at about 1pm. Still quite a few spaces but these filled up during the course of the afternoon. It was our 1st French Aire! Jetons were 3 Euro from Tourist Office or Maison De Henry IV (when open). It was blowing a gale so manage to get some lovely pictures. |
Review Rating:: | they charge for parking now, but not midweek out of season - charges apply at weekends Sept / Oct (€4?) then it's free. Even so, on a grotty October Tuesday there were about 30 vans there! |
Review Rating:: | An excellent aire in a beautiful setting.
There is space to park beyond the main aire if you dont mind parking under the big cliffs. But you get the best sea views from there.
Most people seem to move on in the early afternoon so its well worth hanging around and waiting for a space to become availble.
Highly recommended |
Review Rating:: | Arrived at this Aire at about 1130 hrs on 19th May 2009. Already full up. No room to turn around. Had to reverse all the way back along the single track road alongside the quayside.

Review Rating:: | Very pleasant Aire. Lovely views out to sea at the front parking places. |
Review Rating:: | A real jewel in the crown of Aires,St Valery is a lovely town/harbour with some quaint streets, the sea views from the aire are fabulous..be warned though, get there early, its very popular,3 euro jetons for fresh water available in the tourist office (the brown beamed building that looks like its falling down)on the way into the town from the aire.
Nice touch is the bread delivery van in the morning..unbeatable |
Review Rating:: | Heartily agree with all the above, but jetons are now 3 euros.

Review Rating:: | Stayed here numerous times. Excellent! Fellow motorcaravanners very friendly. Last time we ended up with 8 people in the 'van.
To be sure of a space you will have to turn up early and wait for someone to vacate their space. |
Review Rating:: | Spent 2 smashing days here, the place was as full as is shown on our front page and almost all were French campers and they were fantastic, highly recommended |
