Number Of Pitches:12
Information:Quiet little aire just off the Canal du Midi. From Carcassone follow the N113 until you see the signs for Montferrand, then look for the needle monument on your left about 200 mtrs from the road then turn left on D218, site in front of you after 200 mtrs. Free Aire and services but there is a sign that says you can't empty WC if you use chemicals (Ok for SOG users.) Village not much to look at at is approx 1 mile on the other side of N113.
Attractions Nearby:Canal du Midi is within a few mtrs and was busy during Sept Good cycle and walking. The Aire also has a Tourist Info that offers coffee, drinks snacks etc. and van calls round with bread but doesn't always stop if only one or two MH's there. Monument nearby.

Nice quiet little aire very handy for canal du midi. Water tap was working June 2012 but dump point underneath was full and a bit smelly! Can't really complain for free though!

The water tap works and is provided free of charges by the nearby restaurant. Great place for walking.

The service point at MontFerrand is broken. If you drive straight past and follow the road for about 1 km it travels along side the Canal du Midi in an easterly direction and eventually turns to the right to cross a bridge over the canal. Immediately turn left and you will find the small port of Le segala. Here you will find boats moored and some electric points. 2 euros per 24 hours. Pay at the Resteraunt. A clean public toilet can be found behind the buildings facing the canal.. There is a very friendly Brit living in the large dutch barge nearest the bridge. Not may hook ups and people use adaptors French 2 pin +earth. The posts are all 16 amp. Small trees give a little shade here and there and there are a few concrete benches. The resteraunt can be good fun and the food is reasonable . The casoulet is awful.
