The co-ords on the review are actually for the leisure centre car park.
Better co-ords, for the not-so-obvious main road turn off, are:

51.08799, -1.79897 Admin Note : GPS Amended

Site is partly sloping and you will almost certainly need levelling blocks. The majority of the pitches are grass although the site drains well, so site is ok even in bad weather.

Close with easy access to Salisbury - 30 minute walk.

Facilities good and kept clean.

It's not a site I would hurry back to as it lacks any character, and is a bit exposed. The C&CC refer to themselves as the "Friendly" club and I was a bit dissapointed by a couple of the staff here. They might have been busy or preoccupied so will forgive them this time!

I felt the site expensive considering we had to pay (as members) 21.75 for one night, on grass but with EHU.

A very conveniently placed site. All faciliities clean and in working order. The site itself has little character and even less charm. Just a sloping field with hardly a tree in sight. When full, it's much like a motorhome dealers forecourt. Even with the 6m rule applied, it still feels like a parking lot. But, if all you're looking for is somewhere to park while you do the local sights, it's a pretty good spot. Don't be tempted to drive your toad into town and park in the market square - it's 2.30 an hour.

This is an excellent site for motorhomes (at least, those too large to take off site). It is possible to cycle to Salisbury along the river bank in about 10 minutes or to walk in around 30 minutes. There is a large leisure centre with pool 5 minutes walk away, a Harvester pub about 5 minutes walk away, a small Co-Op supermarket 10 minutes walk and a large Waitrose with restaurant 20 minutes walk along the river bank.
In the other direction a short walk takes you to the site of Old Sarum.
Bus services are frequent into the City and elsewhere and at weekends there are tour buses to Stonehenge.
A large field outside the site is good for play and dog walking and also houses the local extreme kite club (carts and skateboards etc.). The field tends to avoid the need for play activities etc. on the site itself.
There are two modern clean toilet blocks and, as usual, with CCC sites the wardens are very friendly and helpful seeing you to and onto your pitch.
A small shop is contained in the office selling camping essentials, newspapers, milk, sweets and yumee New Forest ice creams.

Nice site for visiting Salisbury - easy 10 minutes on the bike on traffic free cycle lanes. Market in the square on Saturdays is excellent; lots of decent local produce.
