No barriers now; payment for parking is €7 / 24h pay & display (one hour free). we stopped for the afternoon with walk round town. Very noisy road for an overnight stop, and difficult to get level. Note further parking 50m towards town on other side of the road, but still sloping & noisy. Water charge €2. We decided to go elsewhere for a quiet night - note Souillac and Vitrac (montfort) are both free and quiet! |

Went there Friday 7th October, aire overfull, entry gate working, no exit gate, aire is very crowded and beside very busy road. Van in front of us (7.5m long) having big problems getting in gate due to obstructions nearby and very restricted access. They had been trying for 2 hours - we went elsewhere! |

We visited in September 2010, and on entry received a wad of 8 tickets. Later we noticed that no one else could get in, as we had presumably been issued with the final wadge. After visiting town we returned to find the exit barrier lodged up and vans using it to enter. Fearing a problem getting out the following day we fled, and drove on to Domme. ADMIN NOTE: This seems to be a regular problem at Sarlat, no reports of anyone being unable to exit. |

We visted this site September 2008. Very well placed as only a short walk to the town centre and the Saturday market that appears to fill every street in town. There was a problem with the credit card operated barrier as it let us in but would not accept the credit card to let us out. This was eventually resolved by a French motorhomer who got his box of tools out and removed the barrier! Our credit card was not debited so we actually managed 2 nights free of charge. |

Site now has barrier on entry that needs a credit card (UK cards are accepted) once inside you can stay for 48 hours although it doesn't actually say there is a limit. On exit you swipe your card at the barrier and it deducts 5 Euros per 24 hours |
