Can't comment on pricing because we were on a CC rally BUT EHU was most welcome given that it was minus 8 to minus 10 deg C overnight. The cold could not detract from the extreme beauty of the glorious setting amongst the trees. MH service point is a bit disappointing but don't let that stop you from visiting this site - just use a bucket and a hose! A great back to nature type site surrounded by wildlife and great walks. Recommended wholeheartedly!

Nice site open all year.Tucked between the trees gives nice shelter from the wind.

good base for cycling/walking/geocaching.

I would agree with the last comment, I always go for a non-hook up pitch and if you go out of season you can park out of the way own, just ensure that you have all of your own on-board facilities if doing this. Any kind of weather sun, snow, fog and this place becomes one of the most amazing in the land. In my top 5 of all time.

The pitches are dispersed amongst trees in three areas. We thought 7 a night extra for select pitches looked expensive as all you got extra over the hook up premium pitches (3 extra) was a picnic bench. Some of the pitches in Oaken Bottom were sloping too much for ordinary yellow ramps. If we went again we would use a non electric pitch which are dotted around all over the site. Dogs are charged 1 each up to 3 allowed. There is a 1.50 booking charge. [The pricing structure is complicated I have an itemised price list and a detailed invoice and I still can't see that I was charged correctly]

Excellent for walks and cycling as there are paths comnnecting to the camp site in all directions.
