Ordnance Survey:153 - TL182598
Number Of Pitches:180
Information:A peaceful site right on the banks of the Great Ouse. Plenty of opportunity for riverside walks and cycle rides. The town of St Neots is close by and has the usual shops, pubs and restaurants. Being a riverside location, some grass pitches can get a little wet at times but there are plenty of hard standings. Fishing is possible at the site as is canoe/boat launching but both require the appropriate licence/permit obtained prior to arrival.
Attractions Nearby:Cambridge (18 miles).
Toilet Rating:Very Good
Distance from Public Transport(miles):1
Opening Dates:April/2  November/2
Cost per night (High Season):See C&CC website

Wouldn't disagree with anything written so far. One of the better C&CC sites in a pleasant location. More hardstandings have been established this year but a fine gravel has been used and it has not had chance to weather in so is a little too soft and dirty. It is a pleasant 10 to 15 minute walk via parkland alongside the river into St Neots, shorter via the road.

A public right of way runs across the river front of the site so there maybe security issues with belongings left lying about.

First time here, and definitely not the last! This site opened just yesterday for the Summer 2011 season, and I too was struck by the beauty and solitude. We are parked in exactly the same place as the picture shows, with the river right behind us. 3G reception is excellent for mobile phones and my cellular internet dongle, and the site also has wireless (although the wireless signal is a bit weak over towards the river). The only downside is that my satellite system is fighting with the trees - and losing. But its such a great spot that even a good TV signal doesn't seem so important. The campsite staff are very friendly, and there is none of the "You VILL camp here" mentality that abounds on some CCC sites. Toilet blocks are excellent (although only one in operation at the moment due to a maintenance problem).

A really quiet, flat, peaceful riverside ( Great Ouse) site- good hardstanding provision throughout the site and 2 large facility blocks. There's a riverside walk/cycle path that takes you , to the right, into the small town of St Neots (about 20 minutes walk ) and to the left , about 10 minutes walk, a good pub that does evening meals. You're very close to the riverbank - in the picture see the cabin cruiser in the background
