What a shame you don´t have these gatherings anymore, I thoroughly enjoy the German meets, meeting lovely people and having a lot of fun and laughter for a few days. Playing field and table games and sharing tables with food and drink in the evenings until late o´clock, watching when someone has a problem with their Motorhome how quickly help is given, as I found out last Easter when unbeknown to me the diesel filter was spewing out the fuel as I drove into the camping area and help was immediately at hand. Puts a whole new outlook on forum life as well.

What a shame you don´t have these gatherings anymore,
When I joined in 2005, Facts was owned and run by Dave B, it was lively and busy forum, it had hundreds if not thousands of very active members.. and lots of meets.

Today it is but a shadow of its former self.. after Dave sold it went down hill quickly and I guess members left for greener pastures, I doubt there are enough active members to make it worth while organising a meet, (other than ones at shows )but you never know, it may pick up again..
Another factor, since the advent of Facebook there are literally dozens of groups for motorhomers and caravaners many of whom have meets.

I think the days of private forums like this are numbered, especially ones that charge for full membership..

As a confirmed misanthrope I'm not one for rallies. But did meet Geraldandannie circa 2010 in Gravelines aire. Recognised them from their MFH avatar, does that count as half a rally? 😊 Prolific posters in their time.
