We have just sold our caravan and after 20 years are going to buy a camper. Probably in the 12 to 20k range and will buy privately.

We like the Autosleeper range because of its obvious quality but consider the smaller models (Clubman) a little too small. We are aware that there are a number of different designations - Executive, Clubman, etc. We have seen the Amethyst and whilst liking the size of the body don't want a "Dinette" layout.

What are the models (say year 1992 to 1999) and is there a model that utilises the larger body with "two sofa" layout? Executive?

Most A/S of this age were van cnversions or 'monocoque' GRP bodied coachbuilts. Assume from your drift you're looking at coachbuilt.

Small - Clubman on VW, which you obviously know

Medium - Executive (2 'sofa') or Talisman (dinette) layouts on broadly the same body. Talbot Express followed by Peugeot Boxer in later years (Also as Legend on Ford Transit at earlier end of year range).

Large - Amethyst on Ford Transit, with varying layouts depending on model and year.
