Mine is a 9 year old elldis eclipse and having spent 5 hours washing, restoring and waxing her you can imagine my joy at the black streaks returning the first time in rained!!!! (It does that a lot in Lancs)

We use Mr Sheen or Sparkle.
A quick squirt and polish off after a few seconds.
We've given up trying to prevent it.
