We are considering putting our bikes on the roof.

Thule have a few options and would fit the rails on our roof rack, Rimor Superbrig, coachbuilt.

Most owners seem to use the bike rack at the back of the MH.

Apart from the hassle of climbing up and down are there any concerns with the extra height? probably around 4.2m to the highest point of the bike.

Do other forum members store bikes on the roof?

Appreciate your advice.

Thanks Evo

Low bridges would be a problem if you mean store them upright on the roof like they do on cars.
Much safer on a bike rack on the back of the M/H.

I'd be quite worried about running into electricity cables. Quite a few continental campsites ( and villages !) have cables or lights strung over roads and they can be quite low. You're also going to fall foul of many trees on campsites. It's bad enough with a " normal" height motorhome but add an extra metre....

Bikes on the Roof

Hello

don't do it, for the simple reason of all the added risk to yourself getting the bikes on and off the MH, have the rack on the back so you can load/unload whilst your feet are firmly on the ground. (also the rack is great for drying stuff on).

Cheers. Bill.
