Yes I agree but he so stubborn he wouldn't let us apply for one for him. He walks like Douglas Bader now!Poor guy. He should have had one long before now by the sound of it.

I've no doubt some folk take the wee wee, but let's not jump to conclusions without knowing the facts. As you intimate not all disabilities are visible, and I do drive a Range Rover too, as it's easier to get in AND out compared to a car.I'm pleased that you have one mate, I don't recall it coming up before though.
It's about time that none blue badge holders were fined big for using blue badge bays, just laziness usually, going to ATM etc, we were in the local Sainsbugs cafe last week, and two Range rovers pulled into two BB bays, the people got out and walked into town, they looked to be fit and able, I know not all disabilities are visible, but they didn't have badges anyway, just taking the ****, they actually could have parked further away from the store and walked less.
I'm well aware of what means you can have a badger, but you missed where I said that they didn't have a badge I think, as said taking the pi$$, if they had had a badge in either vehicle then fine, not my place to judge the disabilities of others, it's a proximity thing usually hence they being near to the entrances of places.I've no doubt some folk take the wee wee, but let's not jump to conclusions without knowing the facts. https://www.bluebadgecompany.co.uk/... the use of Blue, park when they travel abroad. Are UK badges acknowledged there now Dave?
Here in council-run carparks they will nick you if you don't have a badge in a BB parking slot, but elsewhere there is zero policing that I've noticed, you could risk a broken nose by taking a picture I suppose, I have said something now and then but usually you just get a load of verbal, on one occasion a thug got right in my face, but he bottled out when I didn't cave in.
Ive never really broadcasted it much to be honest as people can be funny about these sort of things and probably think your are swinging the lead. Trust me Im not!I'm pleased that you have one mate, I don't recall it coming up before though.

I think this is the problem with a lot of people and particularly the older generation. They are too proud to apply or when they do or if they get assessed they play down their disability. Its crazy.Yes I agree but he so stubborn he wouldn't let us apply for one for him. He walks like Douglas Bader now!
Just turn up with Liz at the assessment in a wheel chair. Then when they ask her to get out of it to assess her get her to trip on something and fall over screaming in "Pretend" agony. Then threaten to sue them. I bet you will have the badge in a week. :lol:In Bradford they really do not like to give out badges, apparently, a particular group have taken the wee over the years so now they make you jump through hoops, and you have to go to a different doctor not in your own town so no favouritism, and you have to lay it on thick to get a badge, and again each time it's up for renewal or you will NOT get one, Same in Leeds.
Intheory, no, they eased to be recognised when transition finished. Are UK badges acknowledged there now Dave?
