Been looking at the various continental options for breakdown insurance seeing as how the Alko rear end is firmly glued to the floor and refuses to lift it's rear legs for me.
The Britannia Rescue seem like a good deal. Has anyone used them abroad or has a good report of one of the other breakdown insurance companies?

Still haven't found someone who will cover breakdown insurance with repatriation to Ireland for a van over 3.5 tonne, so help will be welcome on this too.

Traveller have you tried one of our advertisers - Safeguard ? Their insurance scheme for motorhomes has AA cover for UK & Overseas.

Safeguard only good if your vehicle is under 20 years old - "George" will be 26 shortly.

Brittania are the one of the few Ins. Co. that will provide beakdown cover for larger model M/H's over 3.5 plus (all you RV'ers take note)

I think the caravan and camping club do a one that covers vehicles over 3.5t

C&CC do members insurance for up to 4250kg.

8mx3.4mx2.5m limits (LxHxW)

up to 20 years old, BUT, does say older units under certain conditions, 'phone for details.
