Breakdown recovery

804 Views 0 Replies 1 Participant Last post by  parkmoy
My wife was recently taking the MH for a service when the engine suddenly cut out. She contacted the insurance breakdown service and in just over an hour the MH was loaded on a breakdown truck and taken to the garage. Not bad service.

BUT, at the garage, a check revealed that a small pipe had come adrift (something to do with fuel and air I think). Anyway the pipe was pushed back on and the vehicle was A1 again - 10 seconds at the most. She was only 15 minutes from the garage but it could have been a recovery of many miles.

Wouldn't it save so much time and money if these recovery firms used someone with basic mechanical knowledge?
