my son on law just bought a CI Carioca 635 he is having trouble with water heater .Any body any trouble shooting tips.He can not go back to supplier at moment he is on a site at whitby just phoned me

Any more information like the make and type of water heater?

Lets start with basics..
Has he removed any outside covers?
Is there gas in the bottle and switched on?
Is there any other gas valves that may have been switched off?
Is the control panel switched on?
Is the thermostat turned up?

Given the potential urgency and the fact no-one has replied.

I assume it will be a Truma unit - either Ultrastore or Combi.

If he hasn't got the instructions....

All documents are on www.truma.com (haven't found them on UK site when looking before)

If you can find what model go to above site, select SERVICE, select INFOMATERIAL, click on union jack and pull up list of products in English. Select operating instructions for appopriate one and follow basic troubleshooting advice (multi language doc).
