Please can anyone help me, my minibus is now at Leisuredrive having the full monty 8O when it comes out at weekend do i have to inform the DVLA that it is no longer a minibus or not,and also any ideas about insurance please, thanks for your help,everyone seems so patient with us newies :? sue.

Your insurance company will certainly need to know, as you have gas appliances etc fitted and the theory is the contents will be a higher value. You now need to insure it as a motorhome. Regarding the DVLA I would imagine they also need to know but someone wiser than I on the subject will no doubt comment. The main thing now is to enjoy it !

:evil: When I got my m/c I noticed the reg doc refers to it as a panel van. I checked with the first owner & he confirmed it was bought new as a motorcaravan having been converted by Autosleeper. When I sent the doc to DVLA for ownership change I told them it is & has always been a motorcaravan. They sent me the new doc back, still showing panel van. Obviously I have insured it as a motorcaravan.

hi its me again, just saying thanks for your help :) im going to send off to dvla to change from minibus to motor caravan,and will ring around for insurance quotes in the morning, im getting so excited i get it back next week,but went for a look today and am very pleased with what i see. i hope to put a before, and after photo, on site if i can work out how to do that ? thanks again wannabe and dodger.
