Personally I always book online and usually within a few days of when I want to go.

Morning Gerry, i've found in the past that its dearer to pay on the day, i think its a case of "well they are here and want to go so they'll pay", but having said that i've only tried once and i was asked around £40 more than i could have booked online for. That was on a ferry crossing not the tunnel. So i assumed after that that was alway going to be the case.
