On the Post Office website today they are giving a rate of 1.1231 to the pound. Not bad!

........Given that I got 1.1534 today from my bank in Spain having missed the 1.16 + yesterday.........when it was to hot to go into town

..
I thought it was good if you needed to get some Euros here in the UK before you travel out. I have a Nationwide card that gives me a great rate when I use it in Europe.
I just moved some money over using Moneycorp. I set a rate that I want a deal at and when it reaches that rate they automatically buy euros for me. The rate is that amount to be paid to me with nothing deducted for commisions etc. The rate I had yesterday was 1.15 However I will now set another deal going and the new rate to deal will be 1.20. I am very confident that we will see this within the next two months. I also expect 1.25 by September, all we need is George Soros to say the euro is overvalued :)

sticky post

Hi
With lots of us going abroad soon perhaps folks could let us know good rates and where from and have it as a sticky ready available post?
Just an idea
Barry
Is it still a good idea to buy stuff on plastic? the rate always seemed good when converted
