Hi Everyone,

My boyfriend and I have just purchased a Eurostyle A70 Motorhome with a fixed rear bed over the garage. The bed has a rectangular cut out in the front right corner as you look at the bed from the main body of the vehicle. We have looked at a few websites who specialise in fitted sheets but none seem to have this type. Does anyone out there have a solution, or do I have to beg my Mum to get the sewing machine out!

Thank you,
Debbie

Hi Debbie and welcome to the Forum :D

Whilst I can't answer your specific question, I can say that you are the only other person in the whole world that I know who owns a Eurostyle motorhome 8O

So thats a relief, I am not on my own :D :D

Hi and welcome..

Betterware and or Kleeneze ( can't remember which) have elasticated straps which are designed to enable you to turn a flat sheet into a fitted sheet and ought to allow you to fit one here. Advantage- it's easier to store ( and cheaper to buy) a flat sheet than a fitted one.

I'll see if I can find the link

G

Kleeneze: Bed and Bath tab:Sheet Straps on page 97 of the interactive catalogue, item code: 025291-86 (£5 for 4 straps)

Thanks, but I don't think they'll work for us. The sheet won't fold into the corner properly. Was hoping someone out there made them. Never mind - looks like I'll be buying my mum flowers and chocs as a bribe.

Nice to see another Eurostyle owner! Didn't realise we'd be such a rarity. We've only been away once so far and had a great time. Hope you have as much fun in yours.

But seriously though . . .

I've moved this to Motorhome Chit Chat in the hope that you will get more responses here.

I'm sure I remember seeing something about bedding a while ago. :?

If you pay your tenner to subscribe you will have access to the Search facility and can have a good old browse. :D

Hope this helps

Have a look in MMM magazine, there is someone who advertises fitted sheets for just about every type of bed fitted to MH's and caravans (ugh I said the "C" word!!)

They reckon to have templates for them all, worth buying the mag and giving them a call (beware they are not cheap, about £28 a time!!)

The club is growing, we have just ordered a Eurostyle A70 as seen at the NEC so thats four of us. Does anyone have any recommendations where to obtain the bed sheets with the rectangular cut out in the front right corner as mentioned by Debbie in this thread.

Also, I need to insure it - any suggestions

Thanks

we have a bed like yours
and we use an opened up sleeping bag
in a duvet cover
or just another duvet underneath us
you will find that these" fitted "sheets don't fit
especially when they have been washed a few times
the duvet/ sleeping bag is much easier to chuck on,
it doesn't come adrift during the night,
is warmer
and the extra layer of padding makes the mattress more comfortable
all the very best

Buy the fitted sheets from Tesco. They are elasticated all round.
When making the bed just pull the spare material under the mattress, job done.

Anyway who's going to see it except the tooth fairies!

Thanks for your speedy responses. I think we may have been a bit clinical in trying to find fitted sheets. I will send the wife to tesco or even use the 2 duvet method. Thats got to be a worth a go as the matress is not sprung and will add to the comfort value.
