Hello All

I've a question about tie downs for the fiamma awning f45. I cant see a hook or similar to attach a tie tie down to, so is it just a case of wrapping it round the folding arms.

Also, I see that some tie downs come with a spring included. Is it really necessary?

Any other advice/suggestions on this subject would be appreciated.

It starts from the ground at one end of the front of the awning, goes over the arm, runs along the bottom of the channel that the front of the awning is attatched to, over the other arm and down to the ground at the far end from the start. We use the spring, because thats what the instructions said, and have had no problem so far.

Hi Bill, the spring is used as a 'shock absorber' for want of a better description, it allows the roll out awning to rise, should there be a sudden gust of wind i.e preventing the canvas from tearing or damage to the arms, have the spring set under a little tension when securing the tie-down buckle

Hi paulway and MandyandDave

Thanks all for the info, I'll get on and find the Fiamma artical I think it's only £7.50. Will try the Stratford Show as the shops on the net want a few quid for postage.

Thanks again.
