Fiat Ducato 1.9d - Shared with which other vehicles?

Hello everyone,

I am purchasing a 1994 Fiat Ducato (Elddis coachbuild) with a 1.9 non turbo diesel. It drives lovely.

I know a lot of vehicle manufacturers have shared engines and running gear over the years and wonder if the 1.9 in the Fiat Ducato has been used in any other van/car? Also, is this a good engine at all? When was it first used and as non turbo how does it fare in the fuel economy stakes? I tried Wikipedia but their info. is very limited on this engine.

Many thanks for your help.

I,m not sure about a 94 but we have a later 1.9 non turbo van and it has the same engine as a whole range of Peugeot and Citroen cars ie Peugeot 306 and 405 Citroen Relay ZX and Xantia. The LDV pilots also use this engine its a great engine, but IMO it will be a little underpowered for a coachbuilt BUT whats the rush, enjoy it.
