forwarding emails

I get a few joke type emails, and there are usually loads of other email addresses included.

Is there a way to strip out theses email details, and just leave the joke for me to forward on, I use googlemail if that helps, I have tried just extracting the joke, which if it's just text, but if there is an image it doesn't want to do it, I can copy it, but I can't paste it again.

Hi

I would expect you to be able to select all the text and any images, copy them and paste into a new email to send on, however this doesn't seem to work for you, i don't use googlemail, but expect it's because the client program is web based, therefore you may have to copy and paste any text into the new email, and then copy any images, paste them into mspaint, or similar, so that you can save them (jpeg not bmp format) and then attach them to the new email, there's probably a browse button or similar for this, although the image is attached, it may appear as part of the content to the receiver of the email. alternatively it may be that the new email is specified as being plain text, in this case images are not allowed as content, ensure the new email is specified as html and try to paste everything into it.

try saving the info to my documents or desktop then fwd the email from there
I use Microsoft Outlook and when I press forward and the email comes up, I can delete any bits that I don't want to forward eg previous sender's details.

I've tried the same on Outlook Express and that works too.

This is my preferred method too. May I also recommend that you use the BCC option if sending these mails to multiple addresses. This prevents other recipients seeing all the other email addresses and helps to prevent spamming.

Hi, I've tried both of your suggestions, but no joy so far.

I've grabbed my settings to see if that might show up something, I usually accept defaults as I find stuff works better that way.
