From Hanover to France

A complete novice calling all experts on France 👋.

Whilst the weather is still. `orrible I am going to have a go at planning my after Easter trip because I´m 99.5% sure my Navajo will be ready by then.
After the Easter meeting I will visit my friends in Warmeloh just above Hanover, from there is it best to go through Holland and Belgium or down through Luxembourg or straight down into France. You are all more experienced than me at this travel lark so your help will be much appreciated.
Another struggle trying to understand a Camping car book I´ve just bought.
Map to save you looking it up.

I thought about it for a bit 😉 then pressed the except button. Good job I looked because I didn’t know or had forgotten I had to do that.

In a little while I will be moving across to the cut grass, if I wait a bit the grass will be dry as the sun is out.

I haven’t moved, I will stay here until all the ships are in then a place for my rowing boat will be found 😁. Probably stay here till Thursday.
I saw a chap strimming the grass where the car park is so asked if he would be kind enough to cut around my entrance, he obliged so I gave him 5€ for the 5 minute job.
I went and filled with water, the lady in the van next door put 4 orange markers here just in case. I wasted quite a bit of water because the off tap was broken and no possible way of stopping it.
I’m people watching at the moment, 2 men with fat guts and 2 women to match, waddle like ducks when they move.
I am having a lazy day after yesterdays marathon.

What a first day, I fell over one of the white dogs blessed flexi leads, I didn’t notice it because it’s one that has a fine cord and as I walked past him he got up, tripped me up and I fell, I will probably have a bruise on my leg in the morning, but it’s also made my shoulder worse and a big toe doesn’t feel too happy. That was a not nice part, but after that was lovely, I have met 5 new people one being the owner of the dog. he bought my evening meal for me, the food was from a delivery service and very tasty. We were then all invited into his van, Motley included, he of course has one everyones hearts. I also danced with another man. As it was dark when I came home Carston, the dogs owner, walked us home all 30 paces 😁 he wanted to show me he was a real gentleman he said. A lot of laughing went along with a few drinks, a really super evening.

What are you like!!! Glad you are being well looked after!
Flip me Jan, you can't be let out on your own! Hope you recover well.

Were you dancing in the van??

I only have a small bruise on my right knee thats no bother. The shoulder is back to how it was before the trip over lead, still painful to lift above shoulder height so I try to prevent doing that.

We are just in after another enjoyable evening, I have made a video, but won’t be able to put it on YouTube until I have a better internet.
So far there are 30 vans, many people I already know arrived today so more hugs and pleased to see me well after the fire. 6 or 8 more to arrive tomorrow.

Yet another fun evening, I’ve been propositioned by 3 separate men 😂 here’s a photo with me and one of them

This is Guido he and his to be wife are the Organisers. Another who has been making the rounds and I was his last hope, but when he said he wasn’t a millionaire I told him he was no good to me. The last one is the chap who’s dog lead I tripped and fell over, he cuddles me ever time he sees me. I really don’t mind being a Miss Sofie it’s really good fun.
Motley is also enjoying a lot of attention from people and a few dogs as well, this one he met this evening, a bit smaller and 10 years his junior.

Today most leave, I think I’ll stay until tomorrow I‘m in no hurry.
It‘s been a super week, I have laughed so much I think I have gained weight.
On Friday I was crowned Queen, that caused a lot of laughter, unfortunately I didn’t give instructions how to turn on the video and nothing was recorded because it was on pause. Many Photos will be shown on the Facebook forum later no doubt.
My Ferrari was used by the youngest person here, 10 months old and she wanted to wheel it herself. she was trying out her legs for the first time that day. I don’t have a picture of her wheeling it.

Lovely Jan. Brings back similar memories of Quartzsite and the annual Brits Valentine Week rally in the AZ desert.

I may be doing another detour, I have been asked if I want to go to another meeting 106 km from here. Next weekend is Whitsun and there will be new people there, it’s not far from Koblenz, so not too far from Luxemburg. I’ll see how the fancy takes me. Not many of us here now, most have left Leaving 5 vans out of 41. Absolutely super 6 days with top people.

No problem with someone swearing fealty there Jan! Glad you've had such a great start to your trip!
Not so great today Jean, I thought I would go to Maastricht, I did, not on motorways, big mistake, took me hours and I didn’t find what I was looking for just a lot of traffic, loads of side streets and if suffered headaches I would have had one. I’m getting back into Germany now I hope . I am using the phone because guess what, I didn’t have the Netherlands in TomTom and the internet was too slow to download it.

you get days like that of course on any motorhome trip. Watch out for Luxembourg. Only been there once but the one thing I noticed Was how busy the traffic was there. Like southern England. We got knocked off the scooter there. Not by a car a might add but two cyclists cutting across traffic.
