From Hanover to France

A complete novice calling all experts on France 👋.

Whilst the weather is still. `orrible I am going to have a go at planning my after Easter trip because I´m 99.5% sure my Navajo will be ready by then.
After the Easter meeting I will visit my friends in Warmeloh just above Hanover, from there is it best to go through Holland and Belgium or down through Luxembourg or straight down into France. You are all more experienced than me at this travel lark so your help will be much appreciated.
Another struggle trying to understand a Camping car book I´ve just bought.
Map to save you looking it up.

Just shown you on Grahams Sicily thread what I have done, just a few minutes ago. It’s a clean cut.
Maybe I can fix it with this stuff. Paint Font Tints and shades Gas Electric blue

Can't see anything on the Sicily thread - what have you done?!

Re your long trip to Maastricht, I usually set the satnav to go somewhere, say Maastricht, n see how long it's going to take. If it says 4hrs I might decide to do that over 2 days so search for somewhere around halfway along the route then check out Park4night around there. I try not to arrive in a city after a long drive cos I know I'll be tired n there'll be traffic.

You'll sleep tonight... Wherever you are!
Jan you are really close to Achen, the capital of the first pan European state built by Charlemagne in the 9thC. His Cathedral and even his throne can be seen. Real sense of history.
Alternatively meander up the Moselle from Koblenz to the wonderous Porta Negra in The most important Roman city north of the Alps, Trier.

It was 70 km from Jülich if I went by Motorway Jean 😟.
Sorry, it’s on Grahams Ouch thread not Sicily. It’s not anything like Grahams, just a slight wound.

If I was in a car and no dog had someone with me, maybe i would visit those places Dich, but on my own I couldn’t get excited about it.
I will make my way on the motorway to Koblenz today about 140 km and follow the Moselle toward Luxemburg where I will meet Alan (who came to me when Hans died) now that I am looking forward to because it will be the first time we have met since then.

After midnight it was quiet, before that a lot of car, radio and loud young people noise. 10 minutes ago a bus loa€ of little people arrived and my goodness can’t they scream and shout, The teachers are competing with them as well, noise seems to be compulsory these days.

I found a road map in the van last night so now I can study the roads properly.
They have to shout Jan. Otherwise they can't hear each other with they ears full of those earbuds. 😉

Another completely not planned trip, I am in Heikes house, decided yesterday morning as I was only 180 km away I would come for a couple of days, she had her home office yesterday and again today so it fits in well.
Thursday I have a date in Luxembourg with Alan

Awww. Lovely photo Jan. Say hello to Heike from me. Ill think of a less savoury greeting for Alan. :ROFLMAO:
Heike says hello back to you. Her machine is busy doing my washing at the moment 😁.
I have been out with Motley and it’s like winter, I could have done with a warmer coat, hat, scalf and gloves.

Motley is at home except when he thinks I am going somewhere without him, I’m sure he remembers I left him for 12 days a year ago on the 1st of June.

It is the most stupid weather I have known in my lifetime. At home it’s 17° but here its higher. Should be improving a bit tomorrow.
Hi Jean Heike says, give brave Jean a cuddle she says.
How many km or miles have you done now? I have done 1,500 so far.
I've done about 8,000km but I've been away about 70 days! You're only starting. I reckon you'll overtake me in no time!

Don’t be too sure Jean, I was getting home sick until I came to Heike.
I think maybe travelling with Alan will gee me up a bit, suddenly being without all my friends was deflating.

Yes, I can imagine that reaction. But stick with it. As you know, I've been alone most of this trip and it's been great.

I’m off to Schengen today and the weather there looks my kind of temperature 20° and sunny today and rising to 24° by Sunday when I may or may not still be there.
It was so lovely being with my Heike, if she was my biological daughter she couldn’t be more loving and caring. Motleys been looking for his playmate Jürgen who is in our house still until Sunday when he comes home.
She‘s gone to work now and all I have to do is eat my breakfast, pick up the last of the bits I brought in ( that she has put all in one place so I don’t have to go hunting) then take Motley out for a bit and orf we go.
Funny sky here this morning, all grey, but the sun is up there, only 8.5°c at the moment @ 8.24 am.
Silly me forgot to press reply this morning 😄.
I am 80 km from my destination and it’s been an absolutely wonderful drive through Rheinland Pfalz with loads of twists, turns, ups and downs. The trees and fields were a picture and although I thought I had put the dashcam in. I can’t find it so what might have been nice to show you I have to keep to myself.
I’m stopped in a small layby, I’m the only one here, most of the time, there’s been half a dozen lorries stop long enough for the driver to have a pee then off they go again.
