A complete novice calling all experts on France 👋.

Whilst the weather is still. `orrible I am going to have a go at planning my after Easter trip because I´m 99.5% sure my Navajo will be ready by then.
After the Easter meeting I will visit my friends in Warmeloh just above Hanover, from there is it best to go through Holland and Belgium or down through Luxembourg or straight down into France. You are all more experienced than me at this travel lark so your help will be much appreciated.
Another struggle trying to understand a Camping car book I´ve just bought.
Map to save you looking it up.

Yes I am with Alan, but he didn’t come on the train, very wise, I was with Karon his friend, he was looking after the dogs, well listening out for Motley, he was fine. We are at the best end of Remich the other end is packed as its holiday weekend, and its free here right by the river. We will stay until Tuesday.

What was the pull of Rodang Jan?
Actually it was because Karon needed a pee, 70cents at the station Free on the train 😂, so we went to the end of the line and back on the same train. I was amazed to see the amount of immigrants or black people in the city.

This chap arrived at 7 am. If you weren’t awake the dog or his sliding slamming doors
made sure you were.
I just wonder what these people do for a loo.
Someone else on the other side now

I was awake both times after a quiet night.
As you see on the photos, a lovely sunny morning, bit of cold air coming in through the roof hatch so not terribly warm yet.

Now I know why Hans never wanted to park by rivers or big lakes, it is so noisy during the day. 12 to 1400 is Mittagsruhe, quiet time, none of the water jet skis, but kids and noisy jabbering parents and they’re not even speaking English or German 😁. As for the amount of barking dogs, it’s madness, if my dog doesn’t bark because he has been taught not to, why don’t other people do the same, it the little ones that are the worst.

Yep. Pick your spots carefully. Stayed on some cracking waterside Aires though and wild spots. You just need to make sure they are not shared with car drivers and day visitors and / or on lakes or rivers where powercraft are banned.

I have walked a few hundred meters along the path just away from the spot where they all congregate and although it is quieter the road is behind me, hundreds of people, cars, cyclists and motorbikes. I think to myself “a lot of these people volunteer to be here, has there been a threat that the human race is to be ended and this is the last they will see or hear of the human race” I have ear plugs in that I wear on the lawn mower, absolutely no good here.

They even have threesomes

Obviously a popular boating spot Jan. You do know it a bank holiday weekend in France. Not as manic as the UK but with the good weather people are taking advantage.

Ray.
In Luxembourg, Germany and I would say All of Europe as its Whitsun, I think the Uk changed the bank holiday day though some years ago to the first Monday in June

I did tell you Luxembourg gets busy. Dunno why as its nothing special. I think its just over populated.

Get thee to France.

Or come here. I rode about 100 miles last night early evening across to Cumbria and over the tops into Teesdale and Weardale. Hardly saw a soul. A few suicidal sheep.
It’s like being in a foreign land in a foreign land, there are not many white people here only people in motor homes or on jet skis and other water mobiles.
