I would like to fit a LPG bottle under my sprinter to save on space inside and avoid getting ripped off buying small bottles/refills.

Only if it is done by a professional and certified person. You cannot do this yourself! It would need to be a manufactured gas receiver, not a mobile bottle.

You can't fit a bottle underneath the floor as the take-off valve would deliver liquid when the bottle was more than half full, this would be extremely dangerous. What you can do is fit a LPG tank (although not one of the type intended to be fitted to supply the engine as again these are liquid take-off).

There are specialist suppliers for these tanks, see here for one example:

Unfortunately they are rather costly but where space is limited may be worth the expense. They're filled using the normal autogas at a cost of around 50p/litre currently.
