Please can anyone help?
We used to be the poor ones on the camp site (in a wee tent) watching all the rest of you with ice in your Gin!!! Until we bought a Knaus called Katie (original)
Now we have a small baby and need to use the bed that is made up over the dining table but with no instructions we can't work out how to make up the bed base. We can see how the seat pads make up the rest ok. Is there anyone out there that can help tell us how?

Yes it would appear the table makes up part of the bed base. We have got as far as it dropping down and we found a piece that slides out of each bench to nearly meet with the long bench on the other side of the van. At this stage we can see how the coushions can fit in to make up the bed but there is a gap between the table and the long bench on the other side of the van. any ideas? Sorry about the poor descriptions.
Thank you

A couple of suggestions/queries.

Do the 2 pieces which slide out have a lip on the inside edge similar to the lip which supports the table. If so then you have a rectangular piece of thick ply or similar which would sit in the gap and make up the base from the table.
I assume you have no extra cushions.
Is there a section in the long bench which slides out (probably supported by its own legs) to meet the extended section of the dinette.
If so you might find that the back and base cushion of the bench now fit the total gap from the wall to the dinette cushions.

If not then it might be that the previous owner never used the dinette as a bed and kept the cushions and base wood indoors to save weight and space, forgetting to replace them when the van was sold. :(
