Help: Where's the GARAGE gone?

1573 Views 6 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Motorhomersimpson
This is a bit bizzare but;

browsing the forum on my iphone, I saw a link at the bottom of someone's post (along with the PM WWW AIM etc buttons) to "Garage".

So I followed it, and browsed a few of the vehicles there.

Then I thought I'd better add mine.

Thinking this more of a laptop job than an iphone job; I went and got my MacBook out and went to the site.

Could I find any link whatsoever to "Garage"? -nope.

Back to the iphone, and I see that from the homepage, if I follow the link to 'Forums'; on that page is a row of links in blue at the top:

Garage, Bookmarks, Watched Topics, Arcade, Attachments, Buddy List, etc.

Except on the MacBook, the same page starts with 'Bookmarks' (no Garage)

So, whats going on; why does the Garage not show when browsing the site on my MacBook...?

Anybody?

Further to this, I just tried using the Firefox browser instead of Safari.

The links to Garage show up, as described above.

Until I logged in; now they don't.

Mmmm.

So, I logged out of the site (now viewing as guest). The garage link is there, so I've clicked to it; and put a shortcut (link) to that page on my desktop:

http://www.motorhomefacts.com/forums-garage.html

Now I log in, and follow the above link...

The page that loads says:
"Template->make_filename(): Error - file themes/HeliusII/forums/garage_header.tpl does not exist"

Erm.
Call the coder...

Hi

I have highlighted the problem within the quote above, you are using HelliusII, try reverting back to Helius.

MHS...Rob :D
I wasn't aware I was using ANY variety of Helius (whatever the hellius that is!)

So this is a problem my end?
- or is the server-end stuff just not multi-platform or up-to-date enough?

(or is that a joke that's gone right over my head homer?)

So what's the solution then?

Hi,

easiest way to change the viewing profile:

Top of the page: [Account] - click.

New window opens:

Second in from the right - [Select theme] - click.

New window opens:

[Select one theme] - click the arrow to drop the options box - [Select Helius] make sure you then click [save changes]

It's not a Joke :) I tried it with HeliusII and got the same message, I'm assuming that theme is designed to reduce the amount bandwidth/make the site load quicker but does remove certain parts to achieve this, much the same as the 'slim version'

Helius is the main theme that will give access to all sections.

Of course there could also be a problem I do not know about, in which case Nuekadmin will have read all this and sort it out

Helius

Thanks MHS...Rob;

It has indeed been sorted by selecting Helius instead of HeliusII in 'themes'.

Thanks!
