I have two issues with the rear axle on our Hymer. Offside ABS sensor is broken and the hand brake cables need replacing but our local commercial dealer is struggling to get the right parts - Fiat have no listing for the ABS sensor and every set of cables supplied haven't fitted. We also had to get a new bearing and thought we were going to need a new hub but fortunately the dealer was able to just replace the bearing - the vehicle has now been off the road for three months...

I am pretty sure that Hymer customised this chassis for the C614 and that is why we can't identify the right parts. Does anyone know how to identify these parts? I think maybe there will be a specialist who can make up cables from the existing ones but I haven't yet found one - if anybody knows of one that would be great.

Many thanks for any help.

Hi @erneboy - I am doing via our nearest dealer but the dealer advised that Hymer are very slow to respond right now - we'll see. I've now discovered that the whole back axle assembly is actually Al-ko.

This firm offer a repair/refurb service but other than the torsion bar I am not totally sure what it covers - yet.

Most of the stuff is now done on my axle so not sure I need to go this far but it will be useful for some folk I am sure.

Yep agree Hymer might respond more directly - may be worth a shot.
Also I understand you can get Al-Ko spares (which should include the cables and ABS sensor) via Leisure + - they are trade only but my local repair workshop should be able to deal with them direct.
