All much easier than i thought, registration document arrived today. Insurance was more expensive than I would have liked but Comfort won't cover on chassis number alone. Getting the number plates made up now.

So you have at least found a way to get the required number plate so that you CAN drive it home?

My other suggestion would have been to approach a French company such as MMA or Credit Agricole - if you explain what you want they will usually do their utmost to help - it seems to be the ONLY area of French commerce where customer service exists.....

Perhaps it will spread........

but I won't hold my breath waiting......
