The Orchards at Newbridge near Yarmouth is pretty good. They do ferry inclusive packages which are worth considering as ferry crossings are blooming expensive! It has an indoor and outdoor swimming pool.

There is a smaller site at Freshwater - Heathfield camping. We really liked it there. On bus routes. Nice clean site.

Loads more sites over on the east side of the island but we prefer the west side - it's a lot quiter.

Have a nive time!

Southlands on the west side is a super site - or at least was. Just been taken over by the Caravan Club so I'm hoping they don't spoil it with acres of different coloured gravel which seems to be their favourite means of marking out pitches these days.

One thing to be aware of is that the roads aren't brilliant in terms of surfacing. The first time we went we stayed on a CL at Freshwater (with a caravan) which meant travelling to and from every day. Might be an idea to give some thought to staying at different sites around the island with a motorhome? It's a beautiful place, although gets very crowded with families in high season.
I have spent a lot of time on the Island and know the Island quite well.

Southlands was a great site and as long as the CC don't play around with it too much it should remain so. Down side is that the buses are infrequent but then all Island buses are infrequent.

The Island is not a place for large MH to cruise around. As soon as you turn off the main roads the lane become narrow and rough. I like to think that this is the local council's way of controlling people's speed. I used to know coach drivers who work on the Island. They have an unwritten rule in that all tourist coaches travel in an anticlockwise direction around the Island. That way they are unlkely to meet another coach in a narow road head on.

Nowdays, I hire a cottage. Much easier. The Island is one of my favourite places to visit but unless you have a small MH, are happy to hire a car or have a scooter you will have to stick to the main roads (bus routes basically).
