Yesterday was red arrows and typhoons, today BBMF Museum and more Typhoons just now includes some video of typhoons.

Interesting pictures, do they get those aircraft back to fly able status ? Three Typhoon is an incredible aircraft - the size of what is presumably either an externally mounted bomb or a fuel drop reservoir would seem too heavy to lift !

All those are in flyable condition Dave its not really a museum at all, those pictures inside had people working on them keeping them flight ready, the Lancaster is one of only two in the world the other is in Canada 🇨🇦 and was here a while ago, one of the Spitfires is the only original fighters from the battle of Britain.

I can remember when I first saw one of those double bladed helicopters fly over our house, got quite excited I did because I had already dreamt about one some time before.

Bit of info on the Typhoons were watching right now, I can see 15 Typhoons on the ground in front of us now and the pilots are in some and attended by ground crew, they will be all up by 09.30.

Security is very covert here, lots of hi powered CCTV, but no one has bothered us,

we stop up at Faslane sometimes and we've been moved on up on the top road where you can look down on the whole base, but no issues overnighting opposite the submarine pens

Kev, I did my last tour in the RAF at Coningsby, then as a civilian with the MOD until 2010 when I took early retirement, happy days.

Are you overnighting at the little car park opposite BBMF? I often used to see vans overnighting there.

Hi Pete, no go to the last gate on the airfield and there are two carparks made for plane spotting more or less right at the end of the runway.

A cheeky rozzer has just passed us in a lay-by and reversed right up to us, DVLA Tax Checker on the back, lazy Bstd will just sit there monitoring the ANPR screen all day, engine running wasting fuel.

Thames Police boats were always moored up at Thorneycroft Island with their engines running for hours. I guess it was to put hours on their clocks to show how busy they had been?

We're just weebling around Cromer awful town to navigate in the van so parked up near the "beach" and pier, just going into café for ones coffee.

We did our first forest sleepover last night on this trip, a bit noisy last night, bloody Owls n other creatures, and lots of nosy noisy dog walkers this morning.
