Hi.. welcome, looks like a great project.. please keep us updated with the progress , and I agree, keep the paintwork. looks great, where are you located ?

I spent 6 years in RSA 1973 - 1979
lived in Rustenburg and worked for Impala Platinum and then Jo'burg with Coca Cola..

We are at present in Fourways but spend six months of the year in Spain starting next week

Looks an interesting project so I'll subscribe to this thread.(y)

That Chevvy lump is pretty bullet proof. I had the 5.0 litre version in my TVR Griffith and it went like a stabbed rat. Even better after I changed it for a modified 5.4 litre version. :)

Did you have the tvr in the uk and could you get parts for the engine?

Yes look you did.;)
Another thing that attracted me to this project, my dad was sales manager at Martin Walter in Folkestone and used to bring stuff like this home

Yes and yes.

A number of the parts were after market but still did the job. The engine went into the Rover P6 as well for a number of years so was a bit of a workhorse. It was a few years ago now mind, back in the 00's.
