Just couldn't resist, has been standing for years and needs recommisioning. Fitted with chev straight 6 4.1litre but I have the original 2.25 lump. Looking forward to building the furniture, and I may leave the paintwork as is. Apparently it is called patina or shabby chic but scruffy works for me j

I spent 6 years in RSA 1973 - 1979
lived in Rustenburg and worked for Impala Platinum and then Jo'burg with Coca Cola..

We are at present in Fourways but spend six months of the year in Spain starting next week

Oh to be young enough to even think about such a project. Wouldn`t be my choice of course, but I`m not a rufty tufty man.

Another thing that attracted me to this project, my dad was sales manager at Martin Walter in Folkestone and used to bring stuff like this home

That Chevvy lump is pretty bullet proof. I had the 5.0 litre version in my TVR Griffith and it went like a stabbed rat. Even better after I changed it for a modified 5.4 litre version.

Did you have the tvr in the uk and could you get parts for the engine?

You`ll have plenty of help then, hope they`re all a chip off of Grandfather and great grandfathers block.

Unfortunately no great grandchildren yet and they are spread around the globe uk, Spain, France, Japan, Australia and here in South Africa, so no help there
