Looks an interesting project so I'll subscribe to this thread.

That Chevvy lump is pretty bullet proof. I had the 5.0 litre version in my TVR Griffith and it went like a stabbed rat. Even better after I changed it for a modified 5.4 litre version.

Did you have the tvr in the uk and could you get parts for the engine?

Yes and yes.

A number of the parts were after market but still did the job. The engine went into the Rover P6 as well for a number of years so was a bit of a workhorse. It was a few years ago now mind, back in the 00's.
