Stayed there last july, you wont be on your own and if the weather is nice the views are fantastic, take your camera.
There is a charge for overnight stay."
Thanks I have stay there a number of time myself, just wondered if you still could,as Jock says they are doing work there.
Jock are you going there,we hope to get down there after visiting the "D Day" celebrations. We have booked a site near "Juno" beach for 2/3 nights, totally unlike us,so looking for a "bit of rough" after that   .
Thanks for that Jock,I was hoping to find some one who says "yep stayed there last night no problem"    .
Bet that will happen now !!!!
Have a good trip Jock, btw when are you going to rally with this lot again  .
Just to confirm that the parking at the base is 8 euro per night but the site at the junction is only 8.40 Euro and complete with electric and all facilities. I appreciate that it is a stroll to the Mont and I prefer to pay the smallest amount but for the extra 40 cents, there was no question where I stayed but then it wasn't directly at the base.
But I can see the advantage of being at the base but I prefer to hook up when I can, specially for so little extra.
