Hi,
I'm looking to spend a couple of weeks in the Lot valley...has anyone any experience of theses campsites?

La Truffiere, St Cirq Lapopie

Le Val de Saures, Entraygues sur Truyere

Thanks.

Not the campsite as such, but St Cirq is unmissable.

Do get in early though as it isn't very big and gets pretty crowded by lunchtime.

Sorry can't help, but if the campsite is nearby (like within walking distance) put up with it however grim it might be - as you may well find parking nearby quite a problem with the truck.

Hi, We stayed at the St Cirq aire last year if it is the same one as on Page 231, site 23, of the Vicariuos book All the Aires of France. There are about a dozen hard standing pitches between the river and the site and great to wake up to. If you are relatively fit it is not difficult to walk to the town and well worth the time and effort. We were there towards the end of August and it wasn't busy and there were spare places.
You asked about the campsite so perhaps you don't want to use the Aire. It seemed well run, with good facilities and there was an English lady on reception who was very helpful.
A beautiful place.

PS. A campsite I can recommend in the Lot is at St Sylvestre sur Lot. It has about 20 piches, good facilities and a swimming pool. it is on the banks of the Lot. Great value at 10Euros per night inc electric.
