I have an electric wheelchair The Pride Select 6..Big and heavy but very nice. however my finger cant cope with the control and I have never used since trying indoors  My hubby cant manage to push a manual, so I did some research (as one does) and discovered The wheelchair powerpack. I bought The Drive Medical Stroller twin wheel with reverse.
WOW! it is good takes only seconds to remove and put on and you can fold the wheelchair up as normal. I found the best price at Mobility scooters plus. Very happy that we have it for the weekend

PS I found it on Youtube

I have one of these that my mum bought before she went into a nursing home after a year there is no way she's ever gonna come out now so been thinking about passing it on it cost about £1200 but that includes the wheel chair don't think it's done above a mile if you know anyone who would benefit would let it go for £200 welcome to give it a try
The wheelchair is the swift lightweight Ally one from DAYS then the motor clips onto the axle and works as a caravan mover does

Powerstroll update

I used this at Peterborough (or tried) It was really hard going on the stoney paths and ramps that didn't meet the ground  The battery lasted about 40 minutes, but it is new and the ground was terrible (stones and broken up tarmac). We will give it a good charge and I will report back on the results in case anyone is thinking of buying one.

Had a faulty control which has been replaced by the seller and is now working as it should :D Handy gadget but will take my electric wheel chair as well to the next meet in case the paths are as bad as at the Peterborough MHF camp area.

I have the same problem with not being able to use the little stick controller.
You can get a ball for the controller, like a big yellow tennis ball, only soft. You just pull the stick controller off and pop it on. Then you have a large soft controller you'd be able to use.
