Do any of you belong to any M/H clubs of any sort??

Just wanted your opinions on which would be good to join.
As my van is old enough, have joined Classic CC and will be going to their National this year, good run for the 'van!!!

Let me know your views to any others.

(obviously i'll be flying my MHF pennant too!!!!)

Hi Jiffyman,

We are in Caravan Club, were with Camping and Caravan Club and Motorcaravan Club but gets to expensive to join them all.

We like the C.C because the sites are all immaculate, the children have to play in the play area, more for couples and older people, although sometimes their rules can seem a bit petty they are there to keep up standards,so can't fault them really.C&C club are much more child friendly Motorcaravan Club are a Rally club really, not many cl sites with them.

You shall have your pennant, they are being designed as we speak, will colour co-ordinate on your van too.............. you will look the belle of the ball.

We belong to the Caravan Club and also the Camping and Caravnning Club
We have only rarely used either of the Clubs' sites but when we had a caravan we regularly rallied with the Caravan Club' Centres right across the midlands.

We don't rally in the UK now but have used the C&C Club for a winter rally in Spain and we have retained our membership for that facility alone.

We have the annual motoring and personal Iinsurance through the Caravan Club's Red Pennant service and have mainly used the CC to book our ferries. Of recent times though, we have booked on-line.

In the context of annual expenditure on our motorhome and holidays abroad the cost of the annual subscription to both clubs seems peanuts although I accept it is an area where we could save the cost of one.

Started of f belonging to both Caravan Club and the Camping and Caravan when i had a caravan (i year only :dog couldnt navigate :did we get into some messes.
My travelling habits have changed over the years, little is undertaken in the UK ,and the Caravan Club have been dropped. The sites are fine if you want to book up a year in advance but for the casual traveller especially if you are looking for a pitch Friday/Saturday Fer git it
The insurance i feel is expensive and over covers single motorhome
wanderers.Perhaps worth the price for the CLs
My motorhome insurance is currently with the Camping and Caravan but they probably will not get the renewal as they quote keen prices to get the business but then offer little back up.Again perhaps worth it for the CL thingys.
and their personal & travel policy (dogs vet bills abroad £2500 no age limit)
Not convinced i am a born rallyist so will give the snail people a miss.
So its back to SAGA& Internet ferry bookings..

We belong to the CC, and are going to join the C&CC - just for the CL facility.

As has been said, the sites (of the CC anyway) are excellent, but can be expensive - when you can get into one for the long-stay C*******!!!
