If I remember correctly you need to go into Tools, Options and I think General tab. On there should be a box where you can change the number of files to display.bob44 said:MS Office 2003 Displaying Recent Files
EXCEL Whenever a Spreadsheet is in use and I then open the 'File' dialogue, at the bottom of that dialogue box (Close, Save etc, etc) there is a list of the most recent spreadsheets which were worked upon:
i.e Displays '1 to 4' with the full File paths for each one shown. With just a click I can then re-open whichever one I need.
Although I cannot find where to do it, somewhere there IS an option to increase that number of previous sheets used because I was able to display the last '1 to 9' spreadsheets on my old XP PC (which used the same version of MS Exel 2003. My new PC is Vista, but I don't think that that is an issue here.)
So - please could someone advise me how to increase the number of previously used spreadsheets within that File Dialogue Box; from '1 to 4' to '1 to 9' ?
WORD: The same need applies:
i.e. to increase the number of previously used Documents within the Word File Dialogue Box; from '1 to 4' to '1 to 9'
I frequently work on several worksheets/Documents/Images but the Vista 'Recent Items' is not much use if I have been hopping around between these;
so increasing the number of Vista 'Recent Items' available to view (Currently 15) would be most desirable, too!
