Used A Nationwide feedback form on their website to tell them that the upcoming changes are not suitable for my needs so will be closing account when I get suitable alternative insurances

Anyone have a better means of getting in touch with relevant department within Nationwide Building Soc to see if we can get this changed

Same source as original post contacted Nationwide and have now been advised by email that the wording was an error, see email attached.

Suspect they’ve noticed the impact and have revised their plan.

Still no use for us as the max length for recovery in Europe is 8m, which we are over.

I would contact Nationwide and bring this limit to their attention , I read on a thread on some other forum or perhaps Facebook that Nationwide were considering an additional payment to provide european cover for over 8m’s

Just came across this thread (thanks to the helpful new list of recommended reading which now appears at the end of similar subject threads!).

Has anyone checked if there is any restriction on age of vehicle with this breakdown cover?

The reason I ask is that we have been with Safeguard motorhome insurance for many years - this includes UK & European breakdown cover at no extra cost on the premium, however it is limited to vehicles not more than 20 years old, which ours will be next renewal. The reason given when I queried this with Safeguard is because the breakdown coverage is via AA Fleet Services and they will not cover any vehicle more than 20 years old.

We are now looking at RAC cover via the C&CC which appears to have no such age limit but isn't cheap.
However if Nationwide Flex covers this, then that may be an option for us.
