At last we set off for Amboise tomorrow as we have untill June 4th to get there so I imagine we will go via a few via's en route. Depending upon forecasts possibly Germany Italy or Switzerland.

That's the way to do it. It's my preferred route but quite often I find there are so many via's I never get to where I was heading in the first place - There are loads of places I've set out to explore but they're still on my to-do list.
