I was discussing organic wine on another thread and its got me thinking.

We try to eat as organic as practically possible. Are there many organic shops or farm type shops in France? I'd like to try to some fresh organic cheeses, wines etc when I'm there.

Thanks

Organic shops

Yes, most large towns have at least one shop.

The Ardeche even has whole villages which are organic. There is a big place near Le Puy called Cellnat which packages and sends stuff all over the place.

The local Tourist Office should have info on the area you are going to.

I find veg from an Organic shop isn't necessarily more expensive, if in season, and is tenderer and sweeter.

Google "Bio" , on google.fr, and the department you are going through, or look on Pages Jaunes . . .
