Hi,
Just got a new LCD TV for the MH to replace our old CRT one. Only tried it out at home so far. It has Freeview built in -we have not used Freeview before-just satellite at home and when in MH. We sometimes use the booster system at CC sites when there is a problem getting a satellite signal. Will we be able to receive Freeview this way and will we have to retune when moving areas as we have to with the analogue system?

Hello David,

Providing the booster system has a good signal you will be able to receive FreeView. As you move around the country you may have to re-tune to each individual transmitter.

E.G.

Winter Hill
Sutton Coaldfield and so on.

I bought a similat TV with freeview built in but gave up with digi terrestrial after about a year - Freesat is the way to go. IMHO

I don't think the CC sites booster system works on freeview yet but they are planning to upgrade them so they do.
At present the freeview signal is running at low power so that it does not interfere with the analogue signal. The power will be turned up when the analogue signal ceases to be transmitted. Until then, we have to put up with poor reception on freeview.
